After your baby is born
you will be instructed to follow up with a visit within a few
days with one of our providers at our office. Depending
on when/where your child is born this initial “weight and
color” appointment may have been made by the hospital staff. If
you are not informed of a specific date and appointment time
upon your dismissal, please call our office and verify if you
have a appointment scheduled already or to make your appointment.
It is important that you contact your health insurance company
within the first 30 days of your child’s life to add them
to your policy. If you wait to enroll past this first month
you run the risk of having medical bills denied because the child
is not added to your policy. This is also a good time to
review with your insurance company what benefits are covered. It
is important to find out if you have well care benefits, immunization
benefits and if there is a cap to your benefits yearly. If
you have questions on what specifically to ask your insurance
company, call one of our billing specialists and they will be
happy to help you.
Immunizations are a critical component of early childhood for
the prevention of childhood diseases that can cause permanent
disabilities and even death. All licensed daycares in the
state of Nebraska are required to show proof of immunization
status of the children enrolled and all children who attend school
are also required to have proof of immunization status.
All required immunizations are offered at our clinic for patients
who have immunization coverage through their insurance coverage. If
your insurance does not cover the cost of immunizations, your
local immunization clinic will give your child the same immunizations
that we offer with a nominal fee.
The immunization clinic for Dodge County is located at Three
Rivers District Health Department, 61 W 4th St, Fremont.
Appointments are available every Monday (9-12 & 1-6)
and Thursday (9-12), excluding holidays. Please call
to make an appointment: 402-727-5396 ext. 4.
